  • Full time staff members at GCWD are held to a high standard of excellence in all areas of bicycle retail and service. In addition to competency in all major forms of bicycle maintenance, a full time employee with an emphasis in service will also fulfill roles as sales associate, cashier, janitor and merchandiser throughout regular business day. In addition, as an expert mechanic, your objective is to equip other full time and part time staff with the skills necessary to meet the servicing needs of any customer. It cannot be emphasized enough that while service bicycles hold a high priority in the eyes of the GCW team, sales and service are not separate entities. We desire to train and employ the most knowledgeable and capable staff in the industry and that emphasis requires staff members to wear many hats.

Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform bicycle repair, maintenance and walk-in service in a timely and courteous manner, offering educational input appropriate to the customer’s riding level
    • Maintain a presentable and functional service environment
    • Oversee staff operations and projects in the shop and on the sales floor
    • Ability to mentor and train staff in modern bicycle maintenance as time and opportunity allow

    • Competency in maintenance of all levels of groupsets from principle component manufacturers (Avid, SHIMANO, etc.)

Giant Cycling World Denver is the first-of-its-kind concept retailer of the Giant Bicycle Brand! Operating since 2010, its Aspen Grove location provides convenient shopping and service to both destination shoppers and cyclists along the scenic South Platte Trail system. While dealing solely in Giant Bicycles, the full-service shop offers maintenance and service on all makes and models. The store’s key to success lies in balancing the fine art of providing a ‘small shop feel’ to customer service while providing the industry’s finest products to its clientele. Giant Cycling World Denver is seeking team members that have the skills, drive and experience to keep this destination bike shop a go-to resource for all things Giant, and all things cycling!

Compensation and Hours:

This is a year-round full time position. Compensation is an hourly wage of $12-$16 dollars(starting pay commensurate on experience), and will include benefits such as sick and vacation pay, as well as enrollment opportunities in the store’s health insurance program. Hours of work for a full-time employee  are conditional upon the sales season and staffing needs of the shop, but shall be no less than 30 hours in the winter (September-April) and 36 hours in the summer (May –August) on average. Summer workload will regularly be over 40 hours a week.
