PAWS & CLAWS RUNWAY RESCUE

 SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 11th from 11 am - 3 pm 

Paws & Claws will kick off at 11 a.m. with (9) pet-adoption agencies, pet-themed vendors, a Children's Art Contest, Best In Show and more.  The feature event – Runway Rescue – will begin at noon. The fashion show will pair adoptable pets with models showcasing exciting fall fashions from Aspen Grove’s retailers, strutting their stuff and wagging their tails down the runway.  All pups and cats will be available for adoption at Aspen Grove throughout the event.

Aspen Grove will host a variety of pet-themed activities including the Best In Show Contest with prizes! Pooch-less humans, shoppers, families, animal lovers and pets are all encouraged to come out, enjoy the event and support these charities that bring so much joy to rescued animals and the families they complete.

There will be a Children's Art booth at the event.  Children can enter to win the Aspen Grove "My Friendly Dog" Art Contest. Be sure to check out this and the Best In Show Doggy Contest under the events section of this website for more details.

BEST IN SHOW DOGGY CONTEST

Does your furry-friend have what it takes to win Aspen Grove's BEST IN SHOW DOGGY CONTEST?  Join us for Paws & Claws Runway Rescue on September 11th from 11 am - 3 pm and enter your dog to win one of the following categories.  Be prepared to show our judges why your dog should win.  Winners will be announced at 2:00 pm at Paws & Claws.  *Must be present to win.  Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each category.

"MY FRIENDLY DOG" CHILDREN'S ART CONTEST

Aspen Grove loves our furry friends and we encourage our shoppers to bring their leashed canine companions to Aspen Grove to enjoy a day of shopping.  Almost all of Aspen Grove's stores allow dogs to venture inside to shop with their owners.  Our dog-friendly stores are marked with a decal so that our customers know if they are allowed to enter the store with their pooches.  This is where we need your help.  Our decals need a fresh, new look.  We are accepting entries from children ages 7 - 13 that depict their friendly dog.  We are looking for creative, clean art.  The winner will be notified and their artwork will be printed onto a decal that will be placed to the storefront window of each of our dog-friendly stores for all of our customers to see (approx, 50 stores).  The winner will also be awarded with a $250 Aspen Grove gift card and Mommy Meeting Child-themed Gift Package with prizes!

HERE'S THE SCOOP

1.  It's FREE

2.  The contest is open to children ages 7 - 13.

3.  All entries should be drawings (in crayon, pencil or markers) and should be submitted in their original form.

4. All entries must reflect you vision of "My Friendly Dog." 

5.  All entries must be accompanied by an application.  You may make copies of the application included in this packet.

6.  There will be a Children's Art booth sponsored by Mommy Meeting at Paws & Claws Runway Rescue on September 11th where children are encouraged to draw their "Friendly Dog" and submit it for consideration.

7.  All entries need to be delivered to the Aspen Grove Management Office by September 24th, 2010 by 5:00 p.m.  The Management Office is located on the west side of the Center behind Williams-Sonoma.  Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

8.  The winner will be notified by September 27th, 2010 via telephone.

9.  All entries must be picked up no later than September 30th, 2010 at the Aspen Grove Management Office or ownership will be forfeited and the artwork will be donated to charity.
